In less than a week, Saint-Pierre-d’Irube will have experienced three highlights, as warm as they are popular. The singing event closing the Euskararen urtaroa campaign exceeded the organizers’ expectations. The Hiriburu catering restaurant was crowded with singers of all generations who came to reinforce the voice of the inexhaustible Watson.

On Sunday, the Salle de la Perle was also well attended during a particularly colorful Christmas market. Children’s songs, face painting, juggling and smiles immortalized alongside Santa Claus gave a beautiful note to the launch of the festivities announced by the magnificent sculpted decorations which adorn Plaza Berri.

Finally, this Wednesday, December 11, 185 seniors (70 years and over) responded to the commune’s invitation for the traditional Christmas meal prepared by Cathy and Thierry, in a room at La Perle decorated by school children. Elected officials, volunteers and agents of the Municipal Social Action Center served their guests to the sound of Thierry Etchegaray’s accordion. Christmas brings people together…
