Graduated in Master 1 “fashion design creator” at the Esimode school in Toulouse, Sophie Tarroux cut his teeth ascollection assistant, stylist or even designer for several brands, before embarking on the adventure of image consulting. A fashion enthusiast who intends to offer a completely tailor-made service.

“I owe my passion for fashion to my mother,” says Sophie Tarroux enthusiastically. I always loved dressing up or watching fashion shows. This is what encouraged me to take this path. »

Complete image consultancy

“My experience served as a springboard for me,” explains Sophie. I had been thinking about becoming an image consultant for a while. My friends often asked me for advice and finally, I took training on business creation and went to Paris to train as an image consultant. »

“It’s a very rewarding job”

It was during the summer of 2024 that Sophie decided to get started. Nothing is left to chance. Her business, which she calls The New Cloakroomoffers several services, both to women and men, namely a complete image consultancyof the colorimetry and face and silhouette morphology sessions, wardrobe sorting and organization sessions or even a shopping support.

Image consulting consists of helping a person project the best self-image through their clothing style. Sophie explains that this support can benefit many profiles, for business leaders, people looking for a job or even those who are going through painful ordeals and who, to start again on a healthy basis, might want to to reinvent or in any case to enhance everyday.

“I always start by doing a image assessment to identify the customer, know their habits, their character traits, their job, etc., says Sophie. I can then understand him better to give him personalized advice. You can also work on your style according to your profession and then develop another for daily life”

Image consulting involves taking into account different factors such as colorimetry, as Sophie points out: “each person’s colorimetry is defined by blood flow. The goal here is to discover the colors that highlight the face using the draping technique, knowing that each color has a symbolism. There are many techniques which allow both to highlight the face but also to refine the silhouette for example. It is for this reason that I also carry out themorphological analysis of the face and body. »

“People who come to see me have often lost confidence in themselves. »

The complete and careful analysis that Sophie engages in then allows her to provide the best advice. “Image consultant is an activity that involves listening and the kindnessshe emphasizes. Of course, I also emphasize the confidential side. It is important to establish a climate of trust because we must also understand that this type of approach must remain natural and personal. »

Profession : Personal shopper

Once the person’s style is defined, Sophie can offer shopping support. Personal Shopper… A profession still little known in France which is already very popular in the United States or England. Here it’s about going shopping with your personal shopper to build a new wardrobe.

“I have a file where all the Toulouse boutiques are listed, classified by style. I also of course keep up to date with trends. If, for example, I’m looking for romantic clothes, I know exactly where to take my clients. »

Regarding fast fashion, the creator of Le Nouveau Vestiaire explains: “ I prefer my customers to buy less but more responsiblyin accordance with their budget. The advantage for me of having been a stylist is that I can explain the specificities of each material as well as their advantages. »

Tailor-made support

Note that Sophie also provides advice on makeup, hairstyle and accessories… An expertise that she also provides through herInstagram accountwith posts and blog articles.

Sophie Tarroux concludes: “I missed this aspect of being a stylist. Today I want to get closer to people to help them feel better, reinvent themselves and express their true personality through their style. »
