The future Miss 2025 is perhaps Manchoise. Thursday December 12, 2024in full preparation, Lucile Lecellier, Miss resident of Sainte-Cécile, near Villedieu-les-Poêles (Manche), answered our questions.

“I am proud to participate in Miss France and I am a feminist”

How is your last week of preparation for the Miss France election going?

“On Wednesday, it was the preselections, a really important stage because that is where the jury chooses the fifteen finalists. I don't know if I will be selected or not but what is certain is that I gave everything. I feel more light et relaxed. Today [jeudi, NDLR]we have just arrived and discovered theArena Futuroscopeit’s coming to fruition. It's been almost three weeks sincewe go through the rehearsal days from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is an intense adventure where one day is equal to one month. I have the impression that we have been preparing for forever, that I haven't returned to Normandy, that I haven't seen my loved ones again! I still wonder how I managed to remember all the choreographiesI'm really looking forward to Saturday, it's going to be amazing. »

Was it your dream to participate?

“No, it wasn't really a dream. I presented myself for the first time in 2021 at Miss Normandy, I went there to discover the world of Miss and I loved it. When they removed the age criteria, I wanted to try my luck again, telling myself that the Miss France adventure would be a springboard. My sisters motivated me a lot. »

What do you respond to criticism from feminists who consider this beauty contest “retrograde” and “sexist”?

” Inasmuch as great feminist et participant in the election of Miss France, I want to say each person is free to think what they want but to blame me for participating in this adventure is questionable. No one will come and tell me that I am not legitimate to be a feminist because I am participating in the competition. I am free to run in this election as a woman. I am lucky to be able to have fun on scène and potentially express myself during one of the biggest hearings of the year. We each have a minute to talk and I find that it's incredible. I'm not sure there are that many programs that give women a voice. I am proud to participate in Miss France and I am feminist. »

What causes will you defend in front of millions of viewers?

“I’m going to show who I am: Normande and Madame Everyman. Beyond all that, on a daily basis, I fight against domestic and domestic violence. One of the things that I have learned throughout my studies and my professional experiences is that it is extremely important to talk about it. It is by talking that we can detect dangerous situations and prevent them from recurring. I feel legitimate to talk about it through my professional and personal experiences. »

“I realize over time that this Miss competition, which is initially quite personal, brings people together and makes them happy. »

What will your regional costume refer to?

“The theme is Mont Saint-Michel. I am very proud. It's a bit like home, I live 30 minutes from Mont Saint-Michel so whenever I want to clear my mind, I go there. I tried on the costume but I can't say more about it. I keep the surprise. »

In Sainte-Cécile, the festival committee is organizing an evening in your village to follow the show. Does this motivate you?

“I find it crazy. They were my first supporters when I was at Miss Normandie. I never would have thought that the town would have been so invested in the election. I realize over time that this Miss competition, which is initially quite personal, brings people together and makes them happy. I admit that I was very moved when I read the article. It warms my heart. Two days before the election, I tell myself that I have no room for error. I would have Sainte-Cécile behind me! I am very happy about it. »

Are your loved ones also behind you?

“They will be in the room, yes. They're all in. Even my friends, who weren't really into the Miss world, didn't hesitate to travel to support me when I was on stage. »

Miss France at 9:10 p.m. this Saturday, December 14, 2024 on TF1.
