Three days dedicated to trotters are still scheduled until the end of 2024 at Milan-San Siro (track which was inaugurated in July 2024) but the final major meeting of the season will take place this Saturday, December 14, with no less than two groups I (for 2 years old) and the Coppa di Milano (Gr. III), a meeting for aged horses contested in the batteries / final format. Obviously, Ginostrabliggi (n°3), in search of a second group I, will attract all eyes in the Gran Premio Allevatori Maschi (Gr. I for 2 years over 2,100 meters, start at 3:30 p.m.). Winner of the Gran Premio Anact (Gr. I) in Turin in November, he came to train last weekend in the temple of trotting. Remember that this colt trained by Philippe Allaire, son of Muscle Hillis undefeated in 5 outings (Italy & Netherlands). In front of him, Galileo Ferm (n°7), second in Ginostrabliggi during his last two outings, without forgetting Golden Boy (n°4), winner of four of his last five races. In the feminine counterpart, Giovaz (n°5), winner of the first group I among females in Piedmont, should be able to confirm. Jean-Pierre Barjon will have two representatives, Gabadames (n°6), with Alessandro Gocciadoro, and Goggia (n°4).
Glory at the start of the Milan Cup (Gr. III)
Shard of Glory will continue his Italian tour this Saturday. Third in the Gran Premio Gaetano Turilli (Gr. I) in October in Rome, the protégé of Loris Garcia was unable to qualify for the final of the Palio dei Comuni (finishing fifth in his battery), last month in Montegiorgio. Heading now for Milan and the Coppa (group III over 1,600 meters). The son of Tiégo d’Etang will be at the start of battery n°2, with n°7 behind the car and facing him Bepi Bi (n°8), which remains on two successes, Dalila Bar (n°4) or even Marion Fouty Bon (n°6), just arrived in Holger Ehlert’s boxes. In battery no. 1, we will find, among others, the re-entrant Catullo Jet (n°8) and his training companions Cointreau (n°6) and Vaprio (n°5), facing the two “Baroncini” Dylan Dog Font (n°7) and Downtown As (No. 3). The top five from each qualifier will meet in the final, scheduled for around 5:13 p.m.
