Dominique Tapie, widow of Bernard Tapie, opens up and reveals a well-kept secret about their relationship. Very daring confidences.

Their love story lasted more than 50 years. It was ultimately death that got the better of this magical romance between Bernard Tapie and his partner Dominique. Remember that the businessman, suffering from cancer, died in October 2021. His widow, always at his side, recounted his daily life in her book entitled Bernard, la fureur de vivre. More recently, Dominique returned to their life as a couple, revealing an unexpected secret.

Bernard Tapie's widow weighs in on their married life

It was while she was in the middle of promoting her work that Dominique confided about her relationship with the man of her life. Guest of the media Lou, the widow who could have lost her life during a burglary began by specifying: “I don’t regret anything. He made me experience a fantastic epic. I was loved like never before”. The 74-year-old woman, who has always spoken about the difficulties in her relationship, then continued: “He detected everything and we were all the time, both of us, observing each other. Maybe that’s what made us last 52 years”. The latter immediately announced: “In our relationship, nothing was really taken for granted”

“Have sexy outfits”

Still on the microphone of the media Lou, Dominique Tapie revealed the secret of the longevity of their relationship. Without tongue in cheek, the mother of Sophie and Laurent Tapie explained how she managed to keep their flame alive for 52 years. “It’s about always surprising others, having little touches”she began by confiding, bluntly. Bernard Tapie's widow then delivered her method. “When he went on a trip, I wrote him little notes.”she blurted. And to continue: “I wrote about tender and sweet little ones. Having slightly sexy outfits, when you don't expect it, or sending slightly naughty photos, that keeps you going.”

The sulfurous character of Bernard Tapie

Dominique Tapie, a fan of naughty photos to spice up her relationship, didn't stop there. She also confided that her partner could sometimes be very harsh. “He could get terribly angry, he had a very bad temper and it’s true that sometimes I really had enough”she said. The widow of the former minister and former boss of Adidas added, remembering a memory in particular. “One day, he spent two, three hours in the kitchen, he made us lobster pasta. And since we didn't come to the table at the right time, he grabbed the dish and dropped it on the floor.”she revealed.
