Notice to lovers of Scandinavian design and retro pieces: IKEA continues to ride the vintage wave with its NYTILLVERKAD collection, a retro series that brings the icons of its glorious past up to date. And for 2025, the brand has already announced the long-awaited reissue of the DYVLINGE armchair, a flagship piece from the 70s, this time available in a vibrant orange color – a dream for decor fans seventies !
On social networks, we rejoice back on the shelves of these retro nuggets, and in store, these not-so-new novelties tear away ! The metal armchair SHELL BODY from 1983 (only €69.96), the side table LOVBACKEN (1956), the rolling service JARLASA (1984) or the table BAGGBODA (79.99€) quickly found themselves in the most stylish interiors… And the parade is not over!
Sixth IKEA NYTILLVERKAD series: when? What products are in the spotlight?
Good news: the new wave of NEWLY MANUFACTURED (the sixth on the clock since spring 2023) will be available from February 2025, and IKEA is coming to reveal its contents ! Among the stars of this sixth series are:
- The shelf ENETRIfame IT DIDan icon of the 80s which is being snapped up second hand, this time imagined in very joyful primary tones.
- The sky bedding set, called MEADOW WHITEWINGa 1973 classic, for a bedroom imbued with retro softness.
- The vases BASEMENT NECK (1995), in orange and yellow lacquered glass, perfect for a pop touch
- The bench THE GUYSa marvel of Scandinavian design in natural wood
And that’s not all: IKEA will also bring out three chairs already featured in les précédentes séries REPRODUCED, this time by adorning them with new ultra-trendy colors. THE revival that everyone was waiting for!
FINALLY ! The 1967 DYVLINGE armchair reissued by IKEA in orange
The famous chaise SKALBODA (or JARPEN) by Niels Gammelgaard, which became all the rage on social networks in 2023, is preparing to color its metal lines pure whiteone of its original colors in 1983. As for the SOTENAS rounded armchair (or PUCK) from 1969, already reissued in canary yellow, this time it returns in a vibrant red !
But the nugget of this new series, in our opinion, is the release of the DYLVINGE swivel chair, formerly MILA (available since the end of 2023 in green and black) in an iconic color that suits it perfectly: orange ! With its soft seat, chrome legs and corduroy, this “anti-stress” piece – which has also made the rounds on the web – embodies the aesthetic of the 1970s so well that it would have been a shame not to have it. edit in its flagship shade at the time (and which is back in force today). The price should be as low as the previous editions, namely 179€. Looking forward to February.
