Since December 9, 2024, Pierre Palmade has been behind bars. Sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment, 2 of which were closed for aggravated involuntary injuries after the road accident that he caused under drugs on February 10, 2023, the comedian was incarcerated in Bordeaux-Gradignan prison, in Gironde ( F).
But, according to Europe 1, the conditions of detention in this penitentiary center are very difficult. We learn that the 56-year-old Frenchman was placed in a “dilapidated” isolation area, located on the sixth floor of one of the oldest buildings in the prison. The place is reserved for very dangerous or high-profile prisoners. In addition, the media specifies that the building is poorly insulated and unsanitary.
As if that were not enough, the actor will find no comfort behind bars, since he is “not allowed to meet any inmate, neither during meals nor during walks in the courtyard”. This courtyard would in fact be just a room inside where the detainees cannot see the light of day. And the air quality there would also be very poor.
The only consolation is that Pierre Palmade will be able to receive visits from his loved ones and follow a course of care.
