This is one of the highlights of the New Year in Paris ! THE Champs-Elyséesknown for being the traditional place for celebrations in the capital comes alive for the December 31, 2024. On what is considered to be the most beautiful avenue in the world, we are about to experience a whole program of festivities with a final bouquet awaiting us for the countdown. To celebrate the transition to new year 2025the City of Paris once again welcomes Parisians and passing tourists to the Champs-Élyséeswho are pedestrians for the occasion.
The Champs-Elysées are reserved for pedestrians one Sunday per month. The opportunity to discover the most beautiful avenue in the world in a different way and to take a selfie in front of the Arc de Triomphe without a car to spoil the picture. It must be said that the year was full of twists and turns, notably the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Gamesa first in a century, and more recently the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral which marks the reunion with this symbolic monument of the capital. For this New Year’s Eve of December 31, 2024the general public will see several artists parade including David Hallyday, Chimene Badi (with around a hundred singers), Stars 80, Mixed collective, Lio, Ceronne, Dany Brillant, Tituane (Eurovision Junior) accompanied byThe Little Symphonic Hands et Imaginations. The world of cabaret also invites itself to the party with Moulin Rouge dancers a you Paradis Latin while the Phoenix circus and the Folies Gruss will also unveil performances that promise to be magical.
France 2 invites you to celebrate the new year with the “Grande Soirée du 31 de Paris”. Hosted by Stéphane Bern, the show will welcome a host of artists to be discovered live from the Champs-Élysées, but also in several emblematic places in the capital. Finally at 11:50 p.m., it will be time to admire the final bouquet: the unmissable video-mapping projected on the Arc de Triomphe for 10 minutes which will end with the traditional countdown. There, at the stroke of midnight, the famous monument is illuminated by a fireworks. And fireworks show which will also last around ten minutes and which will mark the transition to the new year.
