1. The most inclusive: the Rennes Museum of Fine Arts
Who said that at the museum you weren’t allowed to touch? The Rennes Museum of Fine Arts offers an experience that rethinks our relationship to works by letting us explore portraits sculpted with the pads of our fingers. Rennes is the last stop of “Prayer to touch”an exhibition born from exceptional cooperation carried out with visually impaired people and seven Fine Arts museums in France (Lyon, Rouen, Lille, Bordeaux, Fabre museum in Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and Nantes). Touching offers a variety of sensations which enriches the understanding of the works and reveals them in their smallest dimensions and details. The year 2025 will also see the opening of a new 400 m² space, free and accessible to all, in the Maurepas district with two annual exhibitions, one of which is co-constructed with the inhabitants of the large complexes.

2. The most promising: La Piscine, new place in Brest
Immerse yourself in a bath of creativity and hope at La Piscine! This new place of art and meetings very exciting is supported by the Human Soul association and initiated by the artist duo Anne-Laure Maison and Michel Cam. For its first exhibition, this former 120 m private swimming pool2 becomes the cradle of an unprecedented retrospective of the visual artist and photographer Georges Rousse (born in 1947), who for more than 20 years has been multiplying initiatives to decompartmentalize art, from school to the prison world. “I reorder the visible world into a new and unforeseen space,” affirms the one who sees Brittany as a “semaphore”. Affectionate with abandoned places, the artist invests magnificently the old swimming pool by filling it with its geometries and colors: an ephemeral painting in which it is pleasant to bathe your gaze.
