On Instagram, host Pascal Bataille announces that he has lung cancer

Pascal Bataille, the emblematic host of “Only the truth that counts”, announced Friday in a video posted on Instagram that he was suffering from lung cancer. “Today, I have a little truth to tell you, an important one nonetheless,” he confided. “For two to three months, I have been fighting lung cancer and I am sure that I will win this fight. »

The host explained that he draws his strength from several elements: “First, because I am surrounded by fantastic doctors. Then, because I benefit from new care protocols which have made considerable progress in recent years, exponentially. And, finally, because I have great morale, morale that allows me to believe in it as hard as I can. »

Commitment to medical research

In addition to his personal announcement, Pascal Bataille took this opportunity to reiterate his commitment to medical research, particularly against Charcot’s disease (ALS). As an ambassador for the ALS Research Association (ARSLA), he appealed for donations to support scientific advances. “If we have made exponential progress like that in research and in the fight against cancer, […] this is thanks to the funding of this research. » He insisted on the possibility of a better future for patients suffering from this neurodegenerative disease.
