“The emotion is enormous for the entire team. With all the context, which we know, this reopening is a powerful symbol of the capacity of men to do” underlines Jérémie Bellot, co-owner of the Château de Beaugency and general director of the company AV Extended. A company accustomed to historical monuments, which works in particular within the framework of the Monumental Tour to highlight the most beautiful jewels of world heritage : the treasure of Petra, Mount Saint-Michel, among others. And she was chosen to perform the last ten minutes of the grand reopening spectacle of Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, this Saturday, December 7.
“At our level, we are also digital builders” smiles Jérémie Bellot. “Today we have Notre-Dame de Paris before us and we are going to celebrate its reopening with the most beautiful spectacle there is (…) we are in charge of the final part, around 11 p.m., which will last ten minutes.” A sound and light in the form of an apotheosis, of which Jérémie Bellot obviously cannot reveal all the details, but he provides some keys. “We have a nod to metamorphosis, reconstruction, we wanted to pay homage to a union between the human and the divine, with this cathedral like a stone vessel, and its opening which reveals the light. The rose window is the common thread of our show, we will talk about remarkable elements, like the reliquary. And then we have this energy which will pulse, send us back to the idea of a beating heart, of an inexhaustible source, of a living architecture.“
“It’s exceptional to be in this place, among all these people who participated in the reconstruction”
The AV Extended teams do not have much rest at the end of 2024. With this work on Notre-Dame Cathedral, first of all, where the challenges are “huge” recognizes Jérémie Bellot, who nevertheless says he appreciates this “form of pressure that is part of the job.” The company is also working to New Year’s countdown on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. “A successful end to the year” said Jérémie Bellot “and above all a huge honor. It’s exceptional to be in this place, among all these people who participated in the reconstruction of the cathedral.”
