Singer Eddy de Pretto returns to the Francofolies, six years after his last performance on the stage of the La Rochelle festival, which did not leave him with only good memories.

Eddy de Pretto was at the Francofolies in La Rochelle on Wednesday, July 10. The singer, dressed in black shorts and a white vest, gave a concert in front of 12,500 people. “You have very beautiful voices, La Rochelle,” he said to the audience, who he got to sing along with him.

This concert had a taste of revenge for him. He didn’t have very good memories of his participation in the festival in 2018. “I was in the opening act,” he recalls as a singer on BFMTV. “Identifying was still at the very beginning. It had been a bit complicated to admit everything.”

“I wanted to come back to take some revenge,” he adds. “To catch the audience, to have a much clearer connection with the audience and so tonight I had a better concert than in 2018. So I’m very happy.”

“I’ve always tried to give 100% of what I could give. But sometimes there are more complicated encounters (at) festivals. Sometimes it doesn’t happen right away (…) and it’s more enjoyable at the end because we’ve won over (the public). Or it’s the opposite.”

“At the maximum of our energy”

And he continued: “sometimes, you have to convince, tell the audience that you’re going to spend an evening together, that you have to be at your peak energy both of you to have the best possible evening.”

Eddy de Pretto began a new tour in February with a new scenography. This tour will conclude on December 6 at the Accor Arena in Paris, the first of his career.

On stage, Eddy de Pretto defends his latest album, Crash Heartwhere he mainly talks about love. He unveiled the clip in February Emergency 911inspired by the funeral of Agnès Lassalle last year.
