Following the success of the summer 2023 edition, all the stakeholders in the “Summer Music Box 2024” project have decided to organize a major restitution concert of 4 days of work on the Docks stage.

After several partnerships, the MJC Montauban and the SMAC le Rio Grande wanted to once again combine their skills around a musical stay entitled “Music Box d’été”, the specificity of which is the meeting between two towns, Montauban / Cahors, in close collaboration with the MJC Cahors and the SMAC Les Docks.

Budding musicians on stage

Intended for 16 teenagers aged 11 to 18, the aim of this stay, which took place from 8 to 11 July in Cahors, is to introduce musical practices, develop group work, discover the stage and live performance, but also to develop living together and acquire the basics of autonomy through leisure/relaxation times in daily life. The course was supervised by four music and animation professionals with solid experience in leading educational workshops (Audrey Peral, Lucas Aguilar, Jean-Benoit Biau and Constant Meunier).

At the end of this stay, the participants will perform on stage this Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m., to present the fruit of these four days of musical and artistic creation, around a repertoire that they will have developed themselves, under the direction and benevolent gaze of their supervisors. Free concert and open to the public.
