An unmissable end-of-year event in Le Havre, the 9th edition of the Rencontres du Havre on the seriesorganized by the Havre de Cinéma association and artistic director Carole Desbarats, will take place from December 5 to 8, 2024at the Niemeyer library, at the Le Studio cinema and at the Arthur-Honegger conservatory.

Who doesn’t watch a series these days? Whether on general channels or on streaming platforms, streamingthey are everywhere!

“Les Rencontres du Havre on series is THE festival to talk about, listen to, and experience television series,” say the organizers. On the agenda for this free meeting: conferences, round tables, meetings… in the presence of around twenty speakers.

Three moments not to be missed

Among the meetings offered during these few days, here are three unmissable ones.
So, Friday December 6 at 3 p.m. : the Le Havre musicians Brav and Proof, the actor Daouda Keita and the stylist Jamal Belabbes will be present at the Oscar-Niemeyer library on the theme: “Streetwear fashion: stylish rappers”.

The Saturday December 7 at 4:30 p.m.Christian Dior and Chanel will be in the spotlight with interventions by Guillemette Odicino, head of the cinema section at Teleramaand Gabrielle Chanel, by Jean Lebrun, journalist at France Inter and author of Coco Chanel, a life
behind the brand. Still at the Oscar-Niemeyer library.

Finally, Sunday December 8 at 4:45 p.m.at the Oscar-Niemeyer library, place for the flagship Netflix series Emily in Paris with Anne Seibel, production designer.

Also on the menu for this 9th edition: the 5th “Defend your series” eloquence competition and a series pilot creation competition, with prizes for the winners.
