Under the starry sky of the track, Daisy and Violet are waiting for us, smiling and mischievous… The duo Christian Hecq and Valérie Lesort are once again on the bill at Cado with a new show The Hilton Sisters. Meeting with Valérie Lesort, author of the text and who co-signed the production.
After 20,000 leagues under the sea et Gulliver’s Journeyyou are back on the Cado stage from Friday. What memories do you have of it?
“First of all, the large series of performances which are always very appreciable for the team. We feel rather good in Orléans. And I find that after two shows presented, we are starting to have a follow-up with the public. I also remember that, for GulliverI was asked to do some meetings with the public. It’s funny because I found that during the performances, the audience, very plural, was very attentive but not necessarily warm; a little unpredictable and very interesting. And the meetings that followed were always extremely benevolent.”
Unlike these two shows adapted from existing texts, you wrote The Hilton Sisters. How was this desire born?
