CHEEK TO CHEEK in the Prix Du Chateau De Pierrefonds is one to watch
This Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the Prix du Château de Pierrefonds pits 16 gallopers aged 4 and over against each other, over the 2,400m of the Compiègne track. Close to victory, CHEEK TO CHEEK is lining up good performances and should be in contention for the prize. Watch out for MATAURI GOLD, whose A. Lemaître is still in the saddle, not without pretensions, RODAINAH, still entrusted to M. Barzalona to confirm her recent second place, and KANESHYA, on the podium of her last two outings at this level. The places of honor should then be disputed between LORENZO DE MEDICI, chosen by C. Soumillon, TRES ROCK WOMEN, in full possession of her means, SANTURIN, a good winner last time out and still in the company of A. MOLINS, and BAHAYRA, back in handicaps under an acceptable value.

The base :
Protected by E. Monfort, Cheek to Cheek remains on three podiums in handicaps. In form, she has already behaved well with H. Besnier and has drawn a choice number in the stalls, to aim for the palm. At her value and at best, she should not be far from the mark.

L’Outsider TQQ :
Daughter of Golden Horn, Matauri Gold remains on a good second place in another category. She was played quite a bit during her last attempts in this type of tournament, for performances not to be underestimated. Once again entrusted to A. Lemaître, she could make an impression.

Trained by FH Graffard, Rodainah disappointed at the end of March at Saint Cloud for her handicap debut, but fully redeemed herself during her next attempt, recently, with a second place over the classic distance at Longchamp. Mr. Barzalona preferred her; success possible.

Son of Hunter’s Light, Kaneshya has been performing well since the beginning of the year, with four podiums in as many public outings. He has performed well in his last two attempts at this level and T. Piccone is still at the helm. He could put everyone in agreement.

Lorenzo de Medici is not the most consistent of late, but is showing his worth. He finished just off the podium in a handicap last month at Chantilly, and is returning to the classic distance with ambitions of redemption, following a disappointment in the double kilometre. C. Soumillon has chosen him; to be redeemed.

A daughter of Australia, Très Rock Women took on a handicap in the autumn on the sand at Deauville. After a period of absence, she has performed well since her return to the track, finishing in the first four of her last two attempts at this level. Despite her position on the outside in the stalls, she gets on well with A. Madamet and should shine again.

After a wise comeback last May, Santurin dominated the situation in a handicap, from his next outing, by being very visible that day. He is still associated with A. Molins, without discharge certainly in this event, and could win an accessit on his form.

Daughter of Lope de Vega, Bahayra is still brand new, with only ten starts to her credit. A good second here on her debut in handicaps last season, she has not confirmed since then. If M. Barzalona did not prefer her, she is improving and T. Trullier has been called with certain ambitions for the places at the end of the combination. Not to be forgotten.
