“Prepare to be sawed!”, “in 2025 we will send wood”. Fraispertuis-city has the meaning of the formula to announce the arrival of a new attraction within the Vosges park located in Jeanménil, near Rambervillers. The Sawmill (the sawmill in English), will be a tribute to the forestry tradition of the department. A giant machine, more than 10 meters high, “with its gigantic rotating arms and continuously moving seats, our new installation propels you into an extraordinary steam sawmill” promises the management of Fraispertuis-city on its social networks. All with light effects and smoke, for “a spectacular immersion.”
The park director, Patrice Fleurent announced in September on France Bleu Sud Lorraine an investment of 1.3 million euros for this new attraction.
Fraispertuis-city saved 281,000 visitors last season. A decline of 4,000 people compared to the previous year, due to bad weather in the first part of summer. The park’s flagship attraction, the Golden Driller, a 66-meter-high tower with a high-speed drop, ranked 3rd in a European ranking for the third year in a row.
The reopening of the park is announced for on April 5, 2025.
