Unveiling of cultural projects supported by the City of Rouyn-Noranda: Art and culture within everyone’s reach

Committed to continually enriching the local cultural landscape, the City of Rouyn-Noranda proudly announces the awarding of $26,500 in financial assistance to seven artistic and cultural initiatives. Selected during the 2e call for the 2024 Financial Support Program for Cultural Projects, these promising projects, which will come to life in the coming months, embrace a wide variety of disciplines: music, cinema, writing, heritage, installation, reading, dance, performing arts, humor and visual arts. In addition to sparking discovery and curiosity, these events will reach a very diverse audience, which is part of the City’s desire to make art and culture accessible to all.

“It is a real pleasure to see the enthusiasm and originality of the initiatives selected this year. These projects embody our vision of a vibrant and creative community, where every citizen can flourish through art and culture,” enthusiastically declares Mr. Réal Beauchamp, president of the cultural committee and municipal councillor of Rouyn-Noranda.

This call for projects is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Quebec and the City of Rouyn-Noranda as part of the Cultural Development Agreement. Organizations are invited to submit their projects to the next call, which will close on January 15, 2025.
