Nostalgic, sarcastic and full of tasty anecdotes, like the memory of his tasty french kiss with Michèle Richard: Pierre Lapointe invites us to a different Christmas show with Winter songs.
If Michèle Richard was in the Wilfrid-Pelletier room at Place des Arts in Montreal on Sunday evening, it’s because she and Pierre Lapointe have been great friends since they exchanged a sensual kiss during the filming of the music video for the song “On the strange road of lovers” in 2014.

You have to hear, moreover, the singer-songwriter tell – with great pride and humor – this languorous kiss with the queen of TQS, whom he describes as “Quebec’s first big star”!

Pierre Lapointe therefore sang “C’est Noël rock” to pay tribute to his now close friend Michèle Richard, who popularized the title in 1966.
He also offered a nod to the duo Paul and Paul by singing, with actress Guylaine Tremblay dressed in sequins for the occasion, the comic “C’est Noël (Car il neige dans ma tête)”.

Fake Christmas Grumpy
“It’s up to you to make me love Christmas,” declared Pierre Lapointe, who played the fake Christmas grumpy card to make his audience laugh throughout this sweet evening.
Giving pride of place to his album Winter songslaunched in November 2020, this concert was full of magnificent “holiday heartbreak songs”, thought-provoking pieces (like the moving “Maman, Papa” addressing the rejection of a homosexual child by his parents, for which the artist received an ovation) and lighter titles synonymous with Christmas like “The Snow Trail” and “Petit Papa Noël”.
Special mention to the charismatic and talented LUMIÈRE (real name Étienne Côté, known for being part of the group Bon Enfant), who, on voice and guitar, quickly made us understand why Pierre Lapointe had invited him to provide the first part of his show at the Olympia in Paris.

As for Pierre Lapointe, we cannot emphasize his comic and sarcastic side – often unrecognized – which he defends so well on stage. As well as her magnificent outfit with “extremely puffed sleeves”, her languorous dance with LUMIÈRE during the evening and her life anecdotes sometimes featuring the former host of Garden Party, sometimes the astronaut David Saint-Jacques, who is the “too perfect that it’s tiring” godfather of his godson’s brother.
–The Pierre Lapointe show tour, Winter songs, continues across Quebec. The singer will be visiting Brossard on the 10th, Laval on the 14th and Quebec City on December 19.
