An unexpected appearance. Philippe Bouvard made the trip this Saturday, November 30 to the stage of the Théâtre de la Croisette, in Cannes, for the presentation of the documentary “The Thousand and One Lives of Philippe Bouvard”. “I'm doing as one can go when one enters one's 96th year, I'm a little sluggish, so to have an exact perception of those around me, it's a failure,” he replied with a certain mischievousness to a question about his health. Philippe Bouvard also confirmed that he will retire definitively on January 1, 2025 after 60 years of career at RTL with the intention of enjoying his loved ones. “You have to wish me a few more quiet years, with family and far from all the conferences,” he said.
Directed by Fabrice Gardel, the documentary “Les Milles et une vies de Philippe Bouvard”, which is expected to be broadcast in January on Paris Première, will retrace the career of the host through his personal archives. “A thousand lives may be a lot, but I've had at least 500 because I've done all the jobs. They are different professional lives. It was a different side of me each time,” he commented.
