The absence of Djebril in the “Star Academy” is controversial
To better understand Djebril's absence, we need to go back almost a year. In 2023, at the end of nine weeks at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys, and after having won his place on the tour, the young man, very popular with his comrades, leaves the competition. A few months later, in June 2024, after a “Star Academy” concert, he threw a wrench into the pond on social networks by denouncing “inequal treatment” and “discrimination” of which he says he was a victim. “The truth is, I never had the space or consideration to show what I was truly capable of before the tour,” he wrote on Instagram, adding that he now considers himself “a survivor of the show.”
A message which has caused a lot of ink to be spilled and which has found a particular resonance in recent days, while Djebril is the only ex-academician of his class not to have visited the new class. According to information from journalist Clément Garin, Djebril would even be sued by the production of the “Star Academy”, which has not expressed itself on the subject. As for the young singer, he assured on Instagram that he had indeed been invited to the prime this Saturday, November 30, but that he “did not wish to take part in this week”.
Still, the absence of Djebril caused a lot of talk on X, where many fans had great difficulty attending the TF1 show in such circumstances. And even Nikos Aliagas' “dedication” to the young man did not succeed in extinguishing the fire of criticism…
