Great initiative for the Cœurs Battants choir to have invited their Aude friends from La Piège for their Christmas concert. First of all, with a few feasts following the Ariégeois inn before a rehearsal at the beginning of the afternoon, with the Aude choirmaster Nathalie Garcia at the helm and, for the Ariégeois, Nathalie Audoubert. Each group selected a panel of Christmas carols before singing a finale all together: 53 singers! The small choir of the church was copiously filled!
To celebrate this “Advent”, a song in Occitan (among others) Nadal tindaïre was performed, before continuing with Bons Kisses de Fort-de-France, Midnight Christian, Vive le vent, Petit papa Noël… Thirteen songs followed by three flattering reminders of the two choirs grouped together: a real success. The afternoon would not be complete if we did not mention the earbuds, wine or hot chocolate offered by the Cœurs Battants at the end of the concert.
The village bells had invited the inhabitants at 3:55 p.m. and spoke at greater length at the end of the choristers’ concert. At the helm of these moments: the young Saint-Pierrois Milo Brutus (16 years old) and his partner Sébastien Auros for a concert “On the fly”. The largest number of rotating flights still used manually corresponds in fact to the architectural area of walled bell towers such as the Barguillère bell towers of Bénac, Brassac, Ganac and Saint-Pierre.
These ringtones are rarely used, except for religious events or exceptional moments, as was the case for this Christmas concert.
