Every year since 2016, “La Liste” lists the 1,000 best restaurants in the world using an algorithm whose specificity consists of combining gastronomic reviews, publications and online opinions to provide a classification which is intended to be very precise.

For the year 2025, three restaurants in Lyon and a fourth in its metropolitan area have managed to maintain their place in the prestigious ranking released on Monday November 25.

Mother Brazier dominates Lyon

With a score of 99.50, nine restaurants are at the top of the 2025 ranking. Among them, we find the eternal first Guy Savoie in Paris and La Vague d'Or in Saint-Tropez.

In Lyon, the prestigious La Mère Brazier still dominates the ranking with a score of 96.00. The restaurant in the 1st arrondissement still lost 1.5 points compared to last year.

Declining scores

With a score of 88.00, The Ninth Artin the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, remains in the ranking while losing three points compared to its 2024 version. The gap remains with Takao Takanoin the same district. The star scores a score of 87.50, while also losing three points against 2024.

In the metropolis of Lyon, The Auberge du Pont de Collonges, Paul Bocuse restaurant located in Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or, remains in the ranking while also losing three points to go down to 91.50.

If you want to get even closer to the top of the podium, you have to move away from Lyon and find refuge in Ain, where Georges Blanc continues to win the prizes. The 81-year-old restaurateur and his gourmet establishment in Vonnas obtain a score of 98.50/100!
