The next edition of Breaking waves looms. One of the biggest festivals in the South of France will be held from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 June 2025 in Barcarès (Pyrénées-Orientales). Like every year, big names are expected in the Lydia Gardens. And we now know the first two artists who will perform in the Catalan country.
DJ Snake announces himself at Déferlantes 2025
After the announcement of Matthieu Chedid, a few weeks ago, another artist of international stature is now known: the famous French composer and producer DJ Snake.
A few weeks after his concert event at the Stade de France (May 2025, editor’s note), the one who created the sounds of Let Me Love You (with Justin Bieber), Lean On or even Taki Taki (with Selena Gomez) will close the 2025 edition of Les Déferlantes, performing Sunday June 29. The artist announced it himself, on his social networks.

A change of dates
As mentioned a few months ago, Les Déferlantes have made a bold bet for this 2025 edition: the festival will not take place in the middle of July, as usual since its creation, but a few weeks earlier, from June 26 to 29excluding school holidays therefore.
This change of dates caused some festival-goers to react. It was nevertheless justified by the organizers (read opposite). The latter wanted stand out from the “concentration of major festivals nationals between early and mid-July.
They also wanted to adapt to the availability of the Lydia gardens, the site made available by the City of Barcarès. Suggesting that another event could be prepared around July 14 in the seaside resort.
