It is in Melle, in Deux-Sèvres, that the D4B studios are located. This community radio station has existed for 40 years and over time has built up a loyal audience of 15 000 listeners. She is counting on their generosity to be able to continue her activity and is therefore launching a solidarity fund.

Today, 20 are missing 000 euros in the fund, or 16% of the radio budget. Yann Brillaud, journalist and director of D4B analyzes this deficit: “At the end of the year, we are faced with financial difficulties, cash flow problems, because D4B has no cash flow. In September we had reminders from SACEM (Editor’s note : Society of Publishers, Composers and Music Publishers which manages the copyright of artists) which put a blow on our heads and then increasing costs… But this is the daily life of many associative companies. »
We are not managers, we are volunteers.

Mary-Line Raimbault, the president of D4B, does not hide her concern with this observation either. : “Every time a grant is a little late, we are in total panic. We are not managers, we are volunteers and a volunteer has limits including that of managing a business. The solution is to find new partners, patrons, volunteers with lots of ideas and to do a little more publicity. »

To try to survive, the local radio station launched an online fundraiser to find 10,000 euros, which would already make it possible to get back afloat. The radio’s three employees and 50 volunteers are counting on the success of this call for generosity so that D4B survives. Thomas Constantini, volunteer host, underlines the essential role of this radio in maintaining links in the region: “We welcome the actors of economic and political life, we also relay everything that can be done at the cultural level. It’s very diverse and what I find beautiful is that it’s the volunteers who bring these shows. »

And if the radio is still there today, it is because it was able to meet the expectations of Deux-Sévriens, as these two listeners confirm to us :
It is a radio which helps to enliven local life where everyone can speak. On a cultural level, it is important. You can hear both programs in patois and programs about DJs.
The music is really great. D4B is a really eclectic radio station and that suits me.
The online prize pool to help D4B is open until the end of December. On November 29, she recorded a little more than 700 euros in donations.
