There are no complaints against him at this stage, but testimonies are accumulating. In a survey published Wednesday November 27, the magazine Political gives the floor to nine women who accuse the actor Gérard Darmon of having made comments or gestures “displaced” towards them. Technicians, dressers, makeup artists, production assistants… All declare having worked with the actor as part of their work, during six different shoots, spread out between 2018 and the summer of 2024. Requested by the weekly, the actor vehemently denies these accusations.

The oldest accusations reported in Political are formulated by a technician then intern, still in film school. “We can make love, you can come to my house”, Gérard Darmon allegedly told him, persisting later in the day despite his refusal. The star then gives him a nickname, she continues: “He spoke to me extremely badly. He said to me ‘hello female dog, would you rather I call you female dog or little slut?’.”

If the producer of the film, contacted by the newspaper, specifies “having changed the trainee’s workstation when she became aware of the facts”, the technician deplores today that production did not “not protected”. Two other technicians claim to have been the subject of inappropriate comments or requests during the same filming. “His intentions are clear, even if I think that for him it is a ‘joke'”, comments one of them, while the first assistant director also claims to have rejected a gesture from the actor.

According to Politicalon four of the six filmings concerned by the testimonies collected, “members of the production warned the people most in contact” with Gérard Darmon, but “without having a discussion with the actor directly”. Despite the “Me Too” wave and the freedom of speech, particularly in the cinema sector, the situation has hardly improved, testify to Political other women. “The only interaction he is capable of having with me is on my physical appearance. I felt that my body was being watched, scrutinized,” testifies one of them, who declares to have felt “totally insecure on set”.

Political also claims to have consulted a message from Gérard Darmon in the notebook of a technician who had invited the team to write him a note on the occasion of the end of filming party for the film What do we do now? released in October: “We didn’t talk much, but I looked at you [sic] when you didn’t know it. And I liked it. See you soon.” Another technician says she was collapsed” After that the actor “rotted his face, very loudly and in front of everyone” for an anecdotal reason. “We’re just tired of not being able to work peacefully,” she laments.

Other testimonies, even more recent, concern the shooting of the film Let’s love each other alive, in the summer of 2024, during which a technician cited by Political assures that Gérard Darmon gave him “made several humiliating remarks and jokes of a sexist nature.” Contacted by the newspaper, the harassment representative on the film confirms having “reported the information to production, which supported the technician” et “proposed that there is no more direct interaction with the actor”. She also states that “worrying echoes about the actor” had been transmitted to production before filming even began. Requested by political, the producer and director of the film did not respond.
