After a great program dedicated to great symphonic works (Brahms, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky…) in June 2024 in Donville-les-Bains and Cerisy-la-Forêt (Manche), Opus 50 is pleased to offer two new concerts around theworks by Puccinion the occasion of the centenary of his death, celebrated this end of the year.
Sunday 1is December 2024the whole composed of a fifty amateur musicians of good level, supervised by professionals and directed by Danielle Lapierre, will perform at the abbey of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte for a single performance from 4:30 p.m.
A collaboration
The musicians come from the entire department, even beyond, and meet every month to work on a symphonic repertoire little played in our region. The orchestra organizes two series of concerts each year in different locations across the Channel.
For the occasion, the orchestra will collaborate with the Les 3M choir, also directed by Danielle Lapierre, and responsible for the festival of the same name, organized each year at the Montebourg Abbey.
On the program, an ambitious concert: The Symphonic Prelude for solo orchestra, The end of act 3 of Tosca for soloists and orchestra, and La Messa di gloria for soloists, choir with 4 mixed voices and orchestra. The solo parts will be performed by soprano Véronique Chevallier and tenor Jean Goyetche, both professional singers.
