Philippe Katerine had chosen to make the pleasure last. Guest of the Mucem in Marseille this Thursday, November 28, for the closing of the successful exhibition “Paradis naturistes”, the singer stripped throughout the show to end up undressed in the last part. Since his appearance, almost naked, in glittery blue Dionysus during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, followed by his bare back-to-school chronicle in the France Inter studios, the artist has been watched by the press, after having suffered criticism from the conservative right, in France and abroad.

So, when was Philippe Katerine going to get naked? The question was on everyone’s minds before the start of this intimate concert, in front of some 300 people. A fortiori at the end of the Mucem exhibition, dedicated to naturism, which is enjoying historic popular success, with more than 100,000 visitors. Against all expectations, the singer took the media and the public against his grain. Warmly dressed in a sweater, he stripped himself in a different way, evoking, with sensitivity and humor, death and love too, alongside composer and guitarist Philippe Eveno.
The singer finally performed, completely undressed, his famous song “Nu”, to the great pleasure of Pierre-Olivier Costa : “cIt became obvious very quickly to us, when we heard him sing at the Olympics ceremony, we said to ourselves that there was a connection with the exhibition“, says the president of Mucem, “we told him of our desire to have him for the closing of the exhibition, he immediately said yes”. Pierre-Olivier Costa had a good nose, the tickets for this concert sold like hot cakes in the space of 20 minutes. The singer therefore played the game, to the great pleasure of this spectator who was among the first to buy his ticket, “I love Philippe Katerine, with him you always expect surprises”.
Bad surprise, however, for the press. If he closed the doors of the “Naturist Paradises” in style, he also closed the doors of his signing session to journalists, to interact with the public in complete privacy.
