The 60-year-old Canadian actor collapsed on stage on Sunday, during a performance of A Christmas Carol in Edmonton, Canada. Emergency services were unable to resuscitate him.

Canadian actor Julien Arnold died suddenly last Sunday during a performance of the Christmas classic A Christmas Carol (A Christmas Carol) at the Citadel Theater in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the establishment reported on social media. He was 60 years old.

Although the cause of his death has not been revealed, CBC News reports that Julien Arnold died on scene despite “several attempts to resuscitate him” by emergency services, said a spokesperson for the Alberta Health Service.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Julien Arnold, an actor loved by all and a dear friend of the Citadel Theater,” the theater said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Charisma and talent

“Julien was a valuable member of the Edmonton theater community. He was a gifted actor. His charisma and talent blessed our stages during many performances,” the theater also said.

The remaining representations ofA Christmas Carol will be dedicated to Julien Arnold. The actor had also played in theatrical versions of the Wizard of Ozof Beauty and the Beast et A Midsummer Night's Dream.

A fund was opened to help his wife pay funeral costs.
