Like every year in November, the Cergy International Solidarity Festival highlights various subjects through a series of shows, concerts, documentaries, film debates and even animations. Open to the world around it, Cergy cooperates on an international scale with different cities located in Palestine, Senegal and Vietnam.
For this new edition, this great city of Val-d’Oise chose to focus on the theme of watera vital resource and crucial issue in the context of climate change.
To end this festival in style, its programmers invited the French group Zoufris Maracas coming to give a big concert on Saturday November 30, at Le Douze.
Luiza in the first part
She is the young French artist Luiza who will ensure the first part from the Zoufris Maracas group. A talented musician, Luiza carries within her an infectious joy and brings people together around her exciting songs.
Recently appearing on the legendary television stage of Taratata, performing her song “Captain” in guitar-voice, Luiza received music and the pleasure of playing in public as an inheritance from her parents.
New Zoufris album
Zoufris Maracas is a French music group founded by two childhood friendsVincent Sanchez known as Vin’s and Vincent Allard known as Micho, having started singing in the Paris metro in 2007, then joined by drummer François Causse, Brice Moscardini on trumpet and Michael Demeyere on gypsy guitar.
In 2010, La Rue Kétanou invited them to go on stage for the first time. Subsequently, they were able to collaborate with big names like Winston Mc Anuff or the Réunionnais Lindigo.
They stand out today as the relève de la Mano Negra or the Négresses Vertes, succeeding better than ever in combining poetry with texts, social struggles and musical journeys.
After several gold singles and sold-out tours, the Zoufris return with a new album highly anticipated released in September titled The Crazy Race.
