The Camargue is the scene of a fiction which is released in theaters this Wednesday, November 27. “Animal”, the feature film by Emma Benestan. The main character is a woman in the very masculine world of Camargue racing.. Inspired by Marie Segrétier, originally from Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer, who had to work to find a place.

Just a teenager, Marie Segrétier is only surrounded by men. Whether at the Raphaël-les-Arles raseteurs school, or in his daily life in his native Camargue: “It was complicatedshe explains, at the beginning because it’s a lot of quote-unquote mockery.
