The Septilienne Association of Arts and Culture has a new president, Mireille Vigneault. With the arrival of this young mother, a macramé craftsman, we sense a renewal for the organization which has been organizing the Christmas and spring fairs at the Sept-Îles socio-recreational center for several years.

The 2024 Christmas Fair opens tomorrow evening in the gymnasium of the Center on rue Jolliet. “There are emerging artists and we also invite artisans from outside for greater variety in our salons,” explains Mireille Vigneault, also a member of the La Côtière de Port-Cartier group.

The show scheduled from November 28 to 1is December will bring together around forty artists and artisans in 30 kiosks. Some work with wood, others with textile arts, painting, fur. The creation of jewelry and soap is also part of the skills of the members of the Septilienne Association of Arts and Culture.

The new products will come from new exhibitors, but also from regulars who renew their production each time, assures president Mireille Vigneault.
