After a first edition in 2023, the Matricule Bis festival will take place in Fleury-les-Aubrais, from November 29 to December 1. Arcade terminals, exhibitions, activities: on the menu, a cocktail of virtual for very real entertainment.
This is a second edition; So it’s a bit like the Matricule Bis… bis festival which will be held from Friday November 29 until Sunday December 1.
The event dedicated to digital technology, independent video games and urban arts is returning to the Orléans metropolis. After taking place, in 2023, at 9, avenue des Droits-de-l’Homme in Orléans, this time it will take over another (third) location, the Moule à waffles, in Fleury-les-Aubrais.
The event, partly funded by the Centre-Val de Loire Region, is organized by the Alliance française d’Orléans, in partnership with the École supérieure d’Art et de design (Esad). Students notably, using second-hand furniture, made arcade terminals used in one of the exhibitions presented for this event, concocted by Xavier Girard, director of studies at the National School of Art (Ensa ) from Bourges. A journey through time and space, presenting video game practices in Western and Eastern Europe. A partnership with the French Institute of Bucharest has also been established.

A video game created in 24 hours
All around, the Matricule Bis festival gives pride of place to street art in its scenography. Among the highlights throughout the weekend, we will note a “game jam”, namely the creation of a video game in 24 hours; interactive animations; conferences; virtual reality or video game demonstrations.
E-sport tournaments are also organized on Friday from 6 p.m., Saturday from 3 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. To end the days well, musical moments are planned. Friday from 9 p.m. with the “Cookie collective”; Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Divag (music on… Gameboy); Saturday at 10 p.m. with Lelex Luthor (rap); finally, the Syndisque, a collective of DJs from Orléans, will perform on Saturday (at 12 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.) and Sunday (at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.).
