Nocturne n°2 Kelly / Matisse: exhibitions, DJ set and manual workshop at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

Discover art differently and immerse yourself in the world of great artists, this is what the Louis Vuitton Foundation is offering us on July 5, 2024, on the occasion of a second festive and atypical evening.

Lovers of thecontemporary art and culture surely know the Fondation Louis Vuittonlocated right next to the Jardin d’Acclimatation. And above all, they know the house’s habits: at each exhibition, the art foundation offers musical eveningsto allow the public to discover the artists and works exhibited in a different way.

This time it’s not one, but two expositions who are in the spotlight at the Foundation. Henri Matisse et Ellsworth Kelly share the bill, for twice the fun.

In keeping with this tradition that we love so much, the Louis Vuitton Foundation invites us to participate in a second nocturne very special, around the exhibitions Ellsworth Kelly, shapes and colors, et Matisse, the red studio. Ce Friday July 5, 2024from 7 p.m., visitors can admire the works gathered at the foundation, and enjoy the musical and artistic programming that makes this evening so unique.

On the program for this evening event at the Louis Vuitton Foundation:

  • Micro-visits

    Levels -1, 1 and 2
    Every 30 minutes at the points indicated “micro-visits”
    Explore the exhibition “Matisse, L’Atelier rouge” dedicated to the genesis and history of this 1911 masterpiece. Guided by cultural mediators, discover the paintings, sculptures and decorative objects it contains, brought together for the first time since they left Henri Matisse’s studio in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
  • “Melting Shapes” Workshop

    Terrasse centrale
    Before or after visiting the exhibition, like Henri Matisse, experiment with the collage technique. Mélanie Alpach, illustrator, offers you a body of shapes from the artist’s universe to combine, cut, assemble, to create your own interpretation of his works.
  • DVDE – DJ set

    Originally from Paris and now based in Lisbon, DVDE is the boss of the solid labels House Of Underground and Operation Madness records on which have released big names in electronic music such as Boo Williams, Scan 7, Detroit’s Filthiest, Byron the Aquarius and recently DMX Krew. Resident DJ at Badaboum (Paris) and on Rinse France, DVDE has established himself as one of the references of the new generation of DJs and as one of the artists to follow closely, sailing between the groove of disco, Detroit House, acid-house and electro.
  • Audrey Danza – DJ set

    Swiss DJ Audrey Danza is always on the lookout for powerful sounds and new mixing techniques: as eclectic as she is energetic, her selection is made up of tracks mixing trance, tribal percussion, Italo disco, industrial beats and techno — always with the desire to take her audience into unknown and cosmic spaces.
  • Drink and eat

    To celebrate summer on the terraces, it’s Onda, the small Brazilian street food counter installed in the Marais, which brightens up the dishes. On the menu, bowls featuring the specialties of Salvador de Bahia: rice, black beans, avocado, pickled chili, tomatoes, shredded frango. And for dessert, the freshness of a maracuja mousse. At the bar, we agree on flavors and colors with tropical juices, lemon lemonade, craft blond beer and cocktails and sparkling cocktails.
