King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark grace the screen in an astonishing series of three photographs published this week. Taken by photographer Steen Evald in the Great Hall of Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg, Copenhagen, these photos, released less than two months before the first anniversary of King Frederik’s coronation, will be used by the royal household during official trips, tours and special events.
The series includes three portraits: one of the king alone, one of the queen and one of the couple together. In the photos, Queen Mary looks quite regal, appearing in a white round-neck dress, which she paired with her favorite diamond earrings.
