The end of year holidays are approaching. While the first decorations are already installed, the City of Puy-en-Velay has unveiled the activities that will punctuate the month of December. The ice rink and the Christmas market will return this weekend.
The 4.2 kilometers of garlands and 511 motifs installed in the Marian city are there to remind you that Christmas is approaching. The City of Puy-en-Velay has just presented the activities which will enliven this end of year 2024 and the first week of 2025.
The Christmas market and the ice rink return
The ice rink will obviously be back on the Place du Breuil, “with 500 square meters of natural ice”, specifies the Tout un even event team, at the head of the flagship event. From this weekend, the Ponots will be able to try their first slides. And this, until Sunday January 5, 2025, to follow the school holiday calendar.
The new thing is that the Christmas market will start a week earlier to extend over the same period as the ice rink. The process will be the same as in previous years, with the first exhibitors proposing gift ideas. A little further on, the different delicacies will be collected. In total, 41 chalets will be set up on Place du Breuil.
In parallel with these daily activities, the City of Puy-en-Velay has scheduled numerous events, between Saturday November 30 and Sunday January 5, in the city center.
Three stays at Disneyland Paris for four people are up for grabs
This year, the merchants of the Ponote city also want to contribute to the magic of Christmas. Nearly 250 of them agreed to carry out a joint operation to win three stays for four people (two adults and two children) worth 750 euros, at Disneyland Paris. The game will take place from December 9 to 22. It is subject to purchase obligation in participating stores. They will be identified by a Mickey motif in front of their doorstep. A first draw will take place on Sunday December 15. The other two winners will be known on Sunday December 22.
“After a somewhat gloomy year, we want to make people dream,” explains Hacene Djerdi, president of the Office of Commerce and Crafts.
“The City of Puy-en-Velay is ready to make you experience an enchanted Christmas! », exclaims, for his part, the mayor, Michel Chapuis.
