During its gastronomic fair, Gasconh’à Table presented the winners of the 2024 foie gras competition organized by the Gersoise Association for the Promotion of Foie Gras and Poultry Farming (AGPFGA), the Samatan town hall and the Gasconh’à Table association. (GAT). A prestigious event which celebrates the excellence and know-how of Gersois producers.
In total, 32 foie gras producers from Gers were selected to compete. But, there are only four winners for the Palmes d’Or: Peter Lewandowski of the Dukes of Gascony (goose force-fed with yellow corn), Nadine and Anthony Flouret (white duck), Eric Gaillochon of Domaine de Valenté (yellow duck) and Franck Kirighin from Gaec La Comtesse Auzanaise (yellow duck).
For the Silver Palms, 7 winners: Sylvain Brazzalotto from Ferme des Grisettes (goose stuffed with white corn), Famille Bassetto from Ferme des Mouliots (white duck), Théophile Joullié from Gaec de la Barrère (white duck), Christophe Roux from Ferme d’Emluhaut (white duck), Jérôme Berna from Ferme du Courdou (yellow duck), Murielle Rigaud (yellow duck) and Françoise Royal from the Bordeneuve farm (yellow duck).
Finally, three winners were selected for the Bronze Palms: Odile Laffont SAS les Saveurs du Moulins (white duck), Hugues Erard from Gers et papilles (yellow duck) and Joël Valentin from Ferme du Cousteau (yellow duck).
