Jamel Debbouze is back with his Comedy Club on the roads of France from January to March 2025. On the occasion of this busy news, the comedian was present on the set of 8:30 p.m. SundayNovember 24, 2024. The opportunity for Laurent Delahousse to question him about his role during the Paris 2024 Games, he who participated in the closing of the ceremony, with Zinédine Zidane.
“Have you heard from God?” the journalist asks him about the 1998 world champion. “I was with him the day before yesterday, he says hello to you”replies the comedian with irony. “How beautiful he is! He is extraordinary, he has no hair and he is more handsome than you,” then says Jamel Debbouze, thinking he has sent a small tackle to Laurent Delahousse.

But it takes a lot more for the France 2 presenter to feel offended. He then responds: “We completely agree, he is a living god”. And the actor loves Zinédine Zidane so much that he almost made a decision that his wife, Mélissa Theuriau, would not have appreciated: “I have an inordinate affection for Zinédine Zidane. I almost called my daughter 'Zizou'”, he confided with a laugh.
But his wife kept watch. In addition to having participated in the closing ceremony, Jamel Debbouze was also one of the bearers of the Olympic flame which traveled throughout France.

“It really does something to me and especially here in Barbès, where I was born. It really does something to me. I admit that it’s special, it’s different from everything I’ve done”he confided. “Games concern everyone and everyone makes them their own. There is no difference, we are all together and we all do the same thing: sport, performance, and it’s a real party”.
