Rabat – The Rbati public enjoyed an immersive musical experience on Thursday evening at the Mohammed V National Theater during the concert by American singer Gregory Porter, where each note resonated with emotion and intensity.

Radiating charisma and presence, as part of the 19th edition of the Mawazine Festival – Rythmes du Monde, the American singer, from the very first moments, won the hearts of his audience with his powerful voice and rich emotional expressions. Accompanied by a talented orchestra, Gregory Porter created a perfect harmony, merging timeless jazz melodies with exhilarating contemporary arrangements.

His graceful movements and magnetic presence lit up every corner of the room, creating an authentic and intimate connection with jazz and soul lovers. With his expertise and artistic sensitivity, the jazz singer brought an unparalleled depth to this musical performance.

The instrumental solos were particularly striking. American songwriter, singer and actor, Gregory Porter is influenced by the soul music of Marvin Gaye and the jazz of Nat King Cole. In 2010, he released his first album titled Water. This one is getting great reviews.

In 2013, the singer released his third album entitled Liquid Spirit which confirmed his success in the United States and Europe. The album even won the Grammy Award for best vocal jazz album. Gregory Porter is also a stage actor. He notably distinguished himself on Broadway, in the musical “It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues”.

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 19th edition of the Mawazine Festival – Rythmes du Monde (June 21-29) is organized by the Maroc Cultures Association, under the banner of “diversity and celebration”.
