Friendship: Lucy Liu says she found Drew Barrymore ‘hiding in her bushes’

Lucy Liu appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she and Drew Barrymore reminisced about events that happened during their friendship.

The first, 55 years old, and the second, 49 years old, have been friends since they played together in “Drooles de dames”, alongside Cameron Diaz, in 2000.

Among the anecdotes discussed during the show, the “Kill Bill” actress notably spoke of the day she “found” Drew Barrymore “hiding in (my) bushes” after breaking up with her boyfriend.

“She rang the doorbell, she was hiding and I came out,” Lucy Liu said. I said to myself, “Where… I don’t see anyone here.” And then you came out of the bushes with leaves in your hair and said, “I don’t want him to see me here.” Do you remember? »

Lucy Liu added: “And I said, ‘What are you doing? Come home.” She was literally hiding in the bushes.”

Drew Barrymore explained she was in the bushes because she was “depressed” after going through a difficult breakup.

“There’s nothing better about a heartbreak than your girlfriends,” she said. I don’t know about men – I hope they’re your male friends and you say, ‘Come on, I’ll take you out for a drink.’

Lucy Liu is currently starring in the action comedy “Red One,” starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans.
