Supported by the favorable consultation of its members, the office of the Festival Committee validated the great idea of its president Jérôme Courbin: organizing New Year’s Eve at the Biganos village hall. Of course, the volunteers know that this will change their end-of-year habits, but, divided into different working groups, they are already fulfilling the entrusted mission with enthusiasm.
“This is unprecedented and a great challenge for our committee,” says President Jérôme. We have set it at 90 euros and only by reservation (until December 20) with specification of the choice for the main course and the dessert. The menu, entirely “prepared at home”, will be served at the table by our volunteers. We offer: aperitif and appetizers, land plate (medallion of homemade foie gras) and sea (gravlax-style salmon) with their glasses of wine, “trou boïen”, dish of your choice, dessert, champagne and sweets. »
The result of an agreement dating from 2006 between the Comprian-Tagon neighborhood association (president Alain Lacoste) and that of the Maigre district (president Raymonde Écuyer), the last New Year’s Eve at the village hall took place on December 31, 2010 214 guests then participated.
