Jordan Bardella returned to the tax brackets proposed by the New Popular Front in its program, indicating that they could cause harm to the two influencers.

As the early legislative elections approach – they will take place on June 30 and July 7, web personalities have called for “blocking” the far right and Jordan Bardella’s party.

This week, Léna Mahfouf – alias Léna Situations – denied having been paid by politicians to influence voters and even indicated that she was “freely pissing off” the party which finished first in the last European elections. Jordan Bardella, its president, obtained the right of reply in the program “On marche sur la tête”, hosted by Cyril Hanouna on Europe 1.

“Mr. Mélenchon beyond 400,000 euros per year, he takes 90% from you, so I undoubtedly imagine that Léna Situations and Squeezie are perfectly ready,” he declared.

“Multi-millionaire influencers”

The statement by the president of the RN echoes the program of the New Popular Front (NFP) on tax brackets. The NFP plans to return to 14 tax brackets compared to five today. The goal? “Abolish the privileges of billionaires”, according to the terms of his program.

A little over two years ago, Jean-Luc Mélenchon had not revealed the precise composition of his income tax scale with 14 brackets. According to The echoes, the marginal rate was to be set at 90% for the highest bracket which concerned individuals receiving more than 400,000 euros per year, or 33,000 euros per month. But this rate was not decided, because it would in any case have required a constitutional form to apply it.

Jordan Bardella is therefore ironic about the potential impact of the NFP program on the two influencers. The MEP had already criticized political positions “multi-millionaire influencers”.

Earlier, on June 14, Squeezie – the second most followed YouTuber in France – published an open letter on Instagram in which he indicated that he was “firmly opposed to an extreme ideology which advocates hatred and discrimination”.
