The vice-president of the Metropolis in charge of Roads reacts to the publicized attack on the former presenter.

And Fabien Bagnon hopes that the cyclist who punched Cécile Siméone “will be identified and heavily sanctioned”. He mentions an attack “unacceptable” and reminds that “cohabitation between road users must never lead to violence wherever it comes from”.

As a reminder, Cécile Siméone said this weekend that she was hit by a cyclist on Friday at the end of the Montée Saint-Laurent, at the intersection with the Montée de Choulans in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. The interior designer with 73,000 subscribers on Instagram explained that she drove the sixty-year-old Chemin de Fontanières to La Mulatière then was caught by the latter at a red light and hit while she was opening her window.

“What makes me sick is that I want to file a complaint against this very cowardly gentleman who left with his electric bike. They don't have a license plate! (…) I'm not going to spend five hours in a police station to piss off the police with my photo from behind!”she concluded, encouraging the elected environmentalists of the Metropolis to realize that the upheaval of road sharing could lead to this type of sometimes violent conflict.
