Justin Timberlake has broken his silence about his recent drunk driving arrest. He told fans at a concert Friday night: “It’s been tough.”

He blames the blow. Justin Timberlake spoke for the first time about his arrest and his night in prison, speaking to spectators who came to see him in concert in Chicago this Friday evening, June 21, as part of his Forget Tomorrow world tour.

This was the singer’s first public appearance since his arrest for drunk driving in the Hamptons on Tuesday, June 18.

He told the crowd: “It’s been a tough week.” “We’ve been together through ups and downs, left and right, but you’re here, and I’m here and nothing can change this moment right now.”

He added: “I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you continue to love me and I love you back, thank you very much.”

Justin Timberlake was arraigned and released on June 18 after being charged with drunk driving. The Grammy-winning singer spent a night in Sag Harbor jail. Police said he was stopped after he ran a stop sign and his BMW was zigzagging along the road.

According to the police report to which CBS had access, it is stated that “his eyes were bloodshot and he smelled strongly of alcohol.” The star reportedly said “only drank a Martini”.

The singer is now scheduled to appear in court virtually on July 26, the same day he is scheduled to continue his world tour by taking the stage in Krakow, Poland.
