Today, the magazine gives us information on this subject and It seems that actress Sophie Turner is in negotiations with Amazon MGM Studios to become the new Lara Croft.
It’s not official yet, but it’s very possible that the series Phoebe Waller-Bridge finally found her new Lara Croft.
Last May, we learned that a live-action Tomb Raider series was in preparation by Amazon MGM Studios.
Today is the magazine Deadline which gives us some details regarding the future face of Lara Croft. Indeed, the search for the casting of the series is in full swing. Actresses Sophie Turner and Lucy Boynton are reportedly about to take screen tests to determine their abilities.
Regarding the careers of the two actresses, Sophie Turner was notably featured in the series Game of Thrones, X-Men : Apocalypse et X-Men : Dark Phoenix. As for Lucy Boyntonshe is best known for starring in Bohemian Rhapsody, Baba Yaga or in the series Borgia.
However, nothing is certain yet because the sources of Deadline indicate that the entire process is secret. It could therefore be that other well-known actresses will also try the Tomb Raider adventure. A list of actresses containing the names of Emma Corrin et Mackenzie Davis was leaked, but they would not participate in the tests.
As a reminder, Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be the writer and executive producer of the series Tomb Raider to Prime Video. However, its story and release date remain a mystery for now.
