The 24-year-old artist Zaho de Sagazan, classified “female revelation“, and title of “best original song” et “best album” during the Victoire de la Musique 2024 ceremony, the bill was sold out this Friday evening at the Dôme in Marseille. However, in the morning, she arrived early in the Marseille city to surprise the young patients at La Timone hospital An exceptional gift, an early Christmas.
The event was organized by the association Vaincre la cystic fibrosis of which she is the godmother in order to “allow the children and parents of Timone to experience a bright interlude in an often difficult daily life“, as pointed out by David Fiant, president of the association. Around 200 to 300 people were present for this exclusive concert, in a warm atmosphere.
Zaho de Sagazan, known for her sensitivity and talent, is the godmother of this association, which has worked for 60 years to support the 7,800 patients suffering from cystic fibrosis in France. The artist took her place on stage at 11 a.m. for a concert which lasted almost an hour, accompanied by her piano, mainly performing pieces from her first album The Symphony of Lightninggold and platinum disc.
In front of his audience, Zaho opens up. She talks about her hypersensitivity, a personality trait that she has long perceived as a fault. “JI told myself that this characteristic was going to be a hindrance in my life. Until the day I learn to cry other than on my pillow, I will decide to cry on a piano, and the crying will turn out to be prettier. I realized that what I thought was my greatest flaw in life was actually my greatest quality.“. She continues, “qa few years later, I find myself in front of you in a hospital to sing“.
She also spoke about her desire to be a caregiver before pursuing music. “Besides, I believe that it is a trait that we have in common… To be a caregiver, you have to be sensitive“, reminding “kindness and compassion“which motivate caregivers.
This morning, she dedicates her flagship single ‘La Symphonie des éclairs’ to the children present: “this song called The Symphony of Lightning is for you, for all the little storms in front of me“. A few moments later, everyone begins to sing in chorus.
David Fiant, president of the association, did not hide his emotion: “it’s very moving for me for a patient who was previously a child, who also experienced a few years in the hospital in his youth since I have cystic fibrosis, and I am very happy to welcome you to this concert“.
She communicates so many Zaho feelings in her songs that smiles arise very quickly.

Samuel, his 13-year-old son, expressed his gratitude: “I found it really touching, if I could send him a message I would say thank you“.
In the same line, Sarah, mother of Samuel, relates : “I put myself in the place of all the parents who were with their hospitalized children who were suffering and finding moments of relaxation, making them change their minds, it was a beautiful gift“.
After the concert, Zaho took the time to meet the families and sign autographs.
For Zaho, this event was an opportunity to give a little light to those who need it: “I have an easy job, people say thank you to me all the time, but I thank you too. Without you [les soignants]the company would not hold“. She added: “the people who fight against the disease are those who are in the hospital. If I can bring a little sunshine with my songs, I’m delighted“.
The artist was then guided by Samuel through the different rooms of the hospital: consultation room, physiotherapist room, and other care areas. This visit, which allowed Zaho to discover the daily realities of sick children. Samuel adds to this, “jI was happy to visit the floor, it’s important that she discovered this, what we experience when we are in the hospital”.
