“Music Festival” 2024: Why France 2 postponed the broadcast of the concert to this Saturday evening

Difficult to fight against the Blues of Didier Deschamps. If the Netherlands put up fierce resistance to the France team during the second match of Euro 2024 (0-0), France Télévisions shied away from its duty. The French selection played its qualification for the rest of the tournament, this Friday June 21, 2024, the day devoted to the Music Festival. France 2 usually participates in this event by broadcasting on its antenna a major concert in the presence of many artists. But, this year, due to this sporting news, the leaders of the audiovisual group decided to postpone the show to the next day to hope for better audiences.

The series “Criminal Tropics” broadcast instead of the concert

The evening’s figures will certainly prove them right, since an average of 10.21 million viewers had their eyes glued to M6 and Antoine Griezmann’s teammates on Friday June 21. France 2, which offered two rebroadcast episodes of the series “Criminal Tropics”, led by Sonia Rolland and Béatrice de la Boulaye, limited the damage by bringing together 2.38 million followers, or 11% of the public.
