WWE Network prepares to close in Canada

The WWE Network is preparing to close in Canada, including Quebec.

Indeed, providers sent messages to WWE Network subscribers to announce that the channel and streaming platform will no longer be available from December 31, 2024. Same thing for the main provider SportsNet+ which announces the end of its WWE programming and the WWE Network for the beginning of January 2025.

As mentioned on Catch-Newz, RAW, SmackDown, NXT, PLE and other WWE shows or documentaries will be on Netflix in Canada from January 2025, more precisely from Monday January 6. Which explains why TV providers will no longer be able to offer the WWE Network in the country since it will no longer be available.

If you are still a WWE Network subscriber, your TV provider such as Bell or Videotron will automatically end the subscription on December 31, 2024, which will therefore be the right time to make the transition to Netflix if you are not not yet subscribed.

A story that ends after 10 years. In July 2014, WWE signed a historic 10-year agreement with the Rogers Group in Canada. Rogers thus managed the distribution of the WWE Network with the channel and shows like RAW, SmackDown and NXT across the country exclusively. It was only possible to subscribe to the Network through a TV provider and not through WWE. The WWE Network was launched on August 12, 2014 in Canada and will end on December 31, 2024.
