Sorèze. The summer thriller fair returns

Like every year, the highly anticipated summer thriller fair will be held this Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a day dedicated to detective novels and their regional authors.

“Summer thrillers” version 2024 will bring together in the Cour des Bleus of the Abbey School of Sorèze the 20 authors of detective novels from the Deep South, Occitanie and New Aquitaine. New visitors, but also loyal regulars, will be able to discover all genres from the classic fast-paced investigation following the discovery of a murder, through the detective novel on historical foundations (a popular style) to the pure thriller and hard for strong hearts. They are all represented. There will also be titles for teenagers who are increasingly amateur readers of this type of literature.

The additional advantages of this show are undeniable and visitors are not mistaken because they come in large numbers each year to meet the authors and their old but also latest publications. First, this relaxed and summer show is held in the open air under the shade of the plane trees of the Cour des Bleus which is directly accessible from all the boutiques of the Passerelle des Arts on rue Saint-Martin, two of which offer to eat and drink for a moment of break. This axis connects the Berniquaut car park to the Dom Robert museum and the tourist office.

Why not take the opportunity to visit the Dom Robert museum, its Pierre Fabre exhibition “The passion for plants” as well as its shop which welcomes the birds of Lou d’Adélaïde as well as new products for adults and children: jewelry, books , umbrellas, scarves, puzzles, magnets and others… with Dom Robert designs.

Also worth visiting are the artists, craftsmen and art galleries of the old town, the glass museum and its new temporary collection “Glass in Light”.
