K-Films America is pleased to highlight that the film LE ROMAN DE JIM, directed by Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu, will be released on November 22, 2024 in Quebec. The dramatic comedy starring Karim Leklou, Laetitia Dosch and Bertrand Belin, will be presented at the closing of the 30th edition of the CINEMANIA Francophone Film Festival this Saturday, November 16 in the presence of the directors and the main actor, Karim Leklou.
Aymeric meets Florence, a former work colleague, during an evening in Saint-Claude in Haut-Jura. She is six months pregnant and single. When Jim is born, Aymeric is there. They spend great years together, until the day Christophe, Jim’s natural father, arrives… It could be the start of a melodrama, it is also the start of an odyssey of fatherhood.
With LE ROMAN DE JIM, Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu sign their 9th fiction feature film, adaptation of the eponymous novel by Pierric Bailly, presented in its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The film explores with modesty and delicacy the theme of small childhood and the traces it leaves, as well as the deep bond of filiation, in particular the relationship between father and son. Alongside Laétitia Dosch (The Trial of the Dog, Les Rois de la Piste), Karim Leklou (Bac Nord, L’Amour Ouf), shines in the role of Aymeric, a young man watching his own life before deciding to raising a child of whom he is not the biological father.
Distributed in Quebec by K-Films America, LE ROMAN DE JIM will be released in Quebec on November 22, 2024.
